The day
Begin your day above the clouds. Our Sunrise Tour is designed to give you a peaceful and unforgettable start to your day in Madeira, combining dramatic mountain views, quiet natural settings, and a relaxed morning experience.
This is a 4-hour tour, starting approximately 90 minutes before sunrise, allowing us the flexibility to adapt to weather conditions and ensure the best possible experience.
Your morning begins with a scenic drive up into the mountains, heading towards one of Madeira's most breathtaking high-altitude viewpoints. Our goal is to experience the sunrise from above the clouds, surrounded by dramatic landscapes and unforgettable views.
However, Madeira's weather can change quickly. If conditions at the main location are not ideal, we have carefully selected alternative locations where you will still experience a beautiful and memorable sunrise. This flexibility ensures that, no matter the conditions, your morning begins in the best possible way.
After sunrise, the experience continues at a relaxed pace. You will enjoy a short walk, followed by a series of scenic stops and viewpoints, allowing you to take in more of Madeira's natural beauty while starting the day in a calm and enjoyable way. We will also include time for a breakfast stop, giving you the chance to unwind and enjoy the morning (food and drinks are not included in tour price).
After a smooth and scenic morning, we make our way back to your accommodation. This is not just about watching the sunrise, it is about experiencing Madeira at its most peaceful, before the island fully wakes up.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Weather-dependent, if conditions prevent a good experience, we reschedule at no additional cost.

Emilio was punctual and took us to the top of Pico do Areiro early in the morning in a very safe way. He did his best to get us the best views of the sunrise. Due to the fog we had to go for plan B which he really went out of his way. I fully recommend him. Thank you Emilio.

Emilio (our driver and guide) was very professional and punctual. When he learned that we hadn't prepared warm clothes for watching the sunrise, he lent us two jackets so that we could stay warm while enjoying the sunrise.
